Just catching up on a few sessions from before the holidays. Here are a few collages from those sessions.

The day after Thanksgiving, we met the Addario family down by the pier in Imperial Beach.  Getting out to the beach was just what we needed to wake us up from the post Thanksgiving food coma.  The morning was spent running, jumping, smiling and laughing.  With a high surf advisory, we were careful not to let them get washed away, but there was a close call.

The children had a chance to explore and enjoyed their time at the beach.

By the way, if you EVER need any dental work, go see Nick at Sunbow Family Dentistry.  His entire staff is wonderful.  They make going to the dentist less painful that having your photo taken. 

Late last week we had the opportunity to help Ms. Vada Gray build her new website.  She came to us looking for some new profile pictures.  What we found when we met her over at Eastlake lagoon, was a warm and inviting person to be around.  After a couple deep breaths, we all felt relaxed and enjoyed taking pictures by the beautiful sunset light.  The evening was a success.  Check out some of the images below and be sure to swing by her new website: http://www.healingfrombeyond.com/home.html.

We’ve been informed by our extremely observant son that today (June 21) is Father’s day…and…..wait for it……THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER ! Wait….what? I’ve been celebrating summer for over a week now. So, I guess we have a new reason to celebrate today. Yippee!

Julia and I have been talking a lot lately about our pricing structure. We want to be able to offer our clients the images on disc and prints. We want to give some options. But one of the things we have always tried to do is “keep it simple”. We feel like we’ve gotten away from that lately, so with today being the first day of summer (or so they say), we’re launching the

Keep It Simple Summer (KISS) package $375.00:

Book a session between now and Labor Day and receive:

• 1-2 hour photo session (1-4 people)
• Online private gallery of digitally edited photos
• Full resolutions images on disc with copyright release to have images printed
• and a leather bound coffee table book with images from your session

And because I always need a photo to go with a post, here’s a shot of our daughter.  It may not be the most technically perfect photo, but I just love to watch her play and dance on the beach. It’s good to be a dad!  Happy Father’s Day to all the dad’s.

This past weekend we (read: Jason, without Julia’s permission) offered some some “Celebrate Summer” photo sessions.  The first to grab a session was my school friend, Melissa. Melissa rocks our drama department by putting on some absolutely amazing performances with 12 and 13 year olds.  Her husband, Garrett, is the Technical Theater Coordinator for the Poway Center for the Performing Arts.  I hadn’t done a session by myself in a while, so I called one of my photography friends, Arlene, to go with me.  After about 3 u-turns (typical for my driving, even with the iphone gps) we arrived at a beautifully century-aged home tucked away in Escondido.   I ended up with a ton of photos, so bear with me, cause this post may have a lot of photos….

This kiddo is just adorable. You may remember him from his time on American Idol and questions for Adam Lambert.  With parents both involved in theater, you can imagine his wonderfully gregarious personality.

This young lady loved her bubbles…her smile, gorgeous eyes, and beautiful hair will clearly drive the boys crazy and her parents nervous some day.

ok…ok…ok

So a little bit ago I posted that we had updated the blog…new colors, comments capabilities, twitter updates….NOW we’ve updated it again with new-er colors, comments, and twitter updates, as well as a new bio section and built in contact us page.  Well, I’d love to hear what you think. Please leave us a comment and tell me what you like (and don’t like).  Julia will be excited that someone else is getting to answer all of my questions about whether the colors are good, the images are right, this and that, etc……seriously, she’s done with it.
