We haven’t blogged anything in a while, but I’m hoping to remedy that.  Here’s a few from a high school senior session we did back in August.  This young lady is someone we have been fortunate enough to know since she was about five years old.  It is such an honor to be a even small part of her life.

After spending a week with us Hannah was probably a little tired of us sticking a big camera in her face, but she let Julia take  her to the park for more photos.  These were shot at Montevalle in Chula Vista as the sun set behind the trees.  We love this location because it has such a wide variety of scenes within a short walk.  If you missed part 1 or part 2 of Hannah’s senior photos, make sure to check them out.

Back to the beach for one last time before heading home.  She did great out on the surfboard for her first time.

Julia’s cousin Hannah came to visit us over her spring break.  Hannah’s lives in Oklahoma, but seemed to enjoy the So Cal lifestyle just fine.  One of the main reasons for the trip was to get a few senior portraits done.  This blog post is going to have to be extended over several parts because we took so many photos!   So…WARNING >>> lots of images coming.

We started out by heading over to Coronado for a little.

We’ve been very fortunate to get to know Dallas over the past few years. We have photographed her and her family on several occasions.  As sad as we are that they will be leaving San Diego, we feel blessed that we were able to know them for a short time.   For this shoot we went down to Coronado, wandered through a few alley’s and hung out on the beach. We laughed and played through the entire session.

I still remember moving away to college and the feelings of being on my own. I loved the sense of Independence, the excitement of new friends and location, and the hope of something new and different. Growing up, our families were very important to both Julia and I. And both of us might admit that we didn’t show it to our parents enough. But I also remember that I wished I had brought more pictures of my family with me to my dorm room. Before Carissa left for college, she wanted to make sure that she had some family photos. As she packs up to leave it is clear that she will be packing more than just her clothes and photos. She will take the love and support of her very caring family. Good Luck, Carissa.
